Skeletal Necropsy

Common necropsies look at the cause of death in any given individual animal. Skeletal necropsies are looking for trends in herd health. Stress, nutrition and exercise problems are often identified. Dr. Amy and Dr. O identified some problems in a herd of giraffes with the skeletal necropsy. The correction of these problems resulted in a more efficient reproductive rate in the females and more overall movement of the animals.
